# Ansh Bhalala > Ansh Bhalala is a CS senior at ASU who builds across the stack: Rust on the edge, P2P apps, AI agents, VR hardware, a factory ERP, and a few experiments. I'm a CS senior at Arizona State. I like learning how an unfamiliar world works, then building the software it actually needs, and keeping it running after launch. So far that has meant Rust on Cloudflare's edge, a Pixel and a Mac that share a clipboard with no router, VR pods and their hardware at ASU, tech for an 800-person hackathon, an ERP that runs a factory floor, a startup that taught me a lot by not surviving, a fruit fly brain learning to fly in Martian air, and a fighting game I wanted to play again. Have a look at the work, read how I work with agents, grab my resume, or email me. ## How I work with agents This page sums up how I build with AI agents, in case any of it is useful to someone else. I'm still figuring a lot of this out. Everything here comes from my own repos, configs, and logs. The longer stories, with numbers, are in the notes below. - Claude Code: Multi-file work and long runs, including this site. The process comes from superpowers, and I keep 15 skills installed. - Codex: Quick single-file fixes. - KiloCode with GLM 5: Started orrn-spool. One recorded session cost $0.61. - Grok /implement: Reviews, plus a running log of the mistakes its reviews keep finding. - Hermes and OpenClaw: Discord bots for deploys and schedules, and for answering a team from its shared memory. - Gemini: Inside a product: it drafts label layouts in orrn-spool, which a compiler then checks. Rules: Nothing is sent or submitted under my name until I have read it. Never invent a claim about my experience, or a number that is not in the evidence. Never trust a company id sent by the client. The server derives the tenant from the session. Never say done without running the check that proves it. Write plainly: no em dashes, no AI vocabulary, active voice. Patterns: - Route work with an engine table in AGENTS.md, so picking a tool is a lookup, not a decision. - Keep one source of truth and reconcile everything into it. Two stores that drift are worse than one. - Let a model choose from checked content. Make it hard for it to create unchecked content. - Verify with a second source: a different decoder, the repo itself, a real browser. - Tell parallel agents to grep large folders, never cat them. - Write each memory with a why and a how to apply, so it gets used in the right place. - Put a checked layer between a model and anything physical: the model proposes a label, a compiler decides what reaches the printer. - Install a skill only if it changes something you do every week. ## Notes - [The 15 Claude Code skills I keep, and why not 100](https://ansh.bhalala.org/notes/claude-code-skills-i-keep): Claude Code skills are cheap to install and costly to carry. The 15 I kept from pstack, gstack-distilled, and career-ops, and the test I use to decide. - [Notes from running many coding agents at once](https://ansh.bhalala.org/notes/notes-from-running-many-agents): Routing work between Claude Code, Codex, and Hermes, giving a four-person team one shared memory, and why my agents grep big folders instead of reading them. - [Printing labels from a web app with TSPL2 over port 9100](https://ansh.bhalala.org/notes/printing-labels-tspl2-port-9100): How orrn-spool turns ERP actions into thermal labels: raw TCP to TSC printers, JSON to TSPL2, a priority queue, and one agent session that cost $0.61. - [Rebuilding this site with a self-correcting agent loop](https://ansh.bhalala.org/notes/rebuilding-this-site-with-an-agent-loop): I asked Claude Code to restyle my site after ambraglow.org and keep fixing its own mistakes. What it measured, what it caught, and the numbers. - [I research every company before I apply. Here is the system.](https://ansh.bhalala.org/notes/researching-companies-before-i-apply): How I run a focused new grad search with Claude Code: one tracker, a morning feed of new roles, and a research brief on each team before I apply. ## Projects - [ORRN](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/orrn): Multi-tenant ERP for aluminum extrusion plants: dies, bundles, stock, label printing, dispatch, and an audit trail. - [orrn-spool](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/orrn-spool): Print spool for TSC thermal label printers. Takes a JSON label schema, writes TSPL2, and sends it over raw TCP on port 9100. - [FCMS](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/fcms): The Four Cubes Management System. Tracks every extruded bundle and prints its QR label. Older than ORRN and still running the floor. - [smuglr](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/smuglr): Continuity for a Pixel and a Mac with no router and no cloud: clipboard sync, notification mirroring, and file transfer over a direct peer-to-peer link. - [Parents Challenge](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/pc-scholar): Scholarship fund platform replacing a Jotform process: applications, roles, and reporting. - [marsfly](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/marsfly): The FlyWire fruit fly connectome driving a simulated fly in MuJoCo, evolved to fly in thin Martian air. - [OpenUmbra](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/openumbra): An open-source 1v1 silhouette fighter for the browser, with rollback netcode so online fights feel like local ones. - [D.O.R.I.S.](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/doris): Durable Offloaded Rust Isomorphic Stack. My write-up of a Cloudflare-native pattern: Rust compiled to WASM, Axum inside a Worker, Durable Objects to get around the CPU budget. - [tllama](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/tllama): The Ollama API, reimplemented in Rust, backed by T3 Chat's models. Wine for Ollama clients. - [Zombie Containment Facility](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/dsl-zombie): Story-driven VR survival level with rigged characters, scripted threat states, and voiced audio logs. - [Bay-Gen](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/bay-gen): Pooled AI compute: people put their own API keys into an encrypted vault and agents share it under usage limits and a voting system. - [SDR Manager](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/sdrmanager): Lead intake to booked meeting for an outbound sales team, with funnel dashboards and a HubSpot sync. - [Vercel to Discord](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/vercel-discord): Webhook relay that checks Vercel's signature, then posts deploy and domain events to Discord as embeds. - [CoatCheckk](https://ansh.bhalala.org/projects/coatcheckk): Smart coat check and locker rental for venues: scan a QR code, pay, and the locker opens. We built it through launch hardening and shut it down in 2026. ## Contact - Email: ansh@bhalala.org - Resume: https://ansh.bhalala.org/Ansh_Bhalala_Resume.pdf
